Audi TT RS-R Is A Mean-Looking 500-Horsepower Baby R8
Most of you are unaware of the fact that ABT was working silently since 1896 when company founder Johann ABT started a blacksmith shop in Kempten, Germany. But today, its major focus is on a wide variety of cars from the Volkswagen Group. Its wide range goes from the humble Skoda to the Audi R8 supercar. Under the latest project of ABT, its decision to make Audi TT RS stronger in terms of performance is to make it capable similar to its bigger brother.
The ABT Sportsline Audi TT RS-R the roadrunner is built under the special edition with only 50 units for the coupe and another 50 for the roadster. To promote the ABT Sportsline Audi TT RS-R engine performance, it has been given a five-cylinder, turbocharged 2.5-liter engine that churns out the power of 500 hp, which is 100 hp (368 kW) more than its ancestor. It becomes capable to deliver the torque of 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) which has also been increased by 90 Newton-meters (66 pound-feet).
At present, ABT only discuss the performance tweaks in the roadster. They commit the car to reach a speed of 62 mph (100 kph) in just 3.4 seconds. In terms of top speed, this roadrunner is built to chase the air at the maximum speed of 174 mph (280 kph).
Once the actual price is disclosed by the manufacturer, but you will be surprised to know that the tuners have allowed owners to order individual components for their Audi TT RS and install them individually.
